Ravensclaw created the Talon remote head nearly 20 years ago and it quickly became one of the most widely respected camera crane heads for feature film, sports, and event production, as well as repeat-pass motion control. Now we introduce the Nano remote head. At nearly half the size of the Talon, the Nano packs almost twice the punch.

Going back farther, some of you will recognize the Aerohead name - that’s where it all started. One of the motion control market’s most advanced and powerful three-axis remote heads at the time, the Aerohead paved the way in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Our success with the Aerohead sprouted a smaller two-axis head, the legendary Talon, which has been an award-winning favorite amongst crane and jib operators in all areas of film and video production.

Featured in major motion pictures, racing, sports, and even broadcast, the Talon pan tilt zoom focus head was built to stand the test of time, with over 10 years of unfaltering performance for INDYCAR racing and much more. This led us to our next journey, the Nano head. Essentially a mini Talon, the Nano is powerful, fast, accurate, and eager to get the job done. Currently being used in sports broadcasting, lighting rigs, telescope setups, and security systems, the sky is the limit with this little powerhouse.

We have designed the Nano to fit as many needs as possible from cinema to sports, Houses of Worship, small shoots, and commercials; with as many configurations as possible from our optional high-capacity cradle, pan and tilt slip rings, to a lean carry-on case setup.

On a larger scale, we’ve been creating accurate, robust, high-quality robotic positioning solutions for over thirty years.
